Adults can join experts for a fun-filled class creating handmade cards. Learn special card making techniques, such as rubber stamping, embossing, die cutting, punching, and embellishing. Attendees will create two separate greeting cards to take home. Classes are free, but registration is required due to limited attendance.

Attend our free hands-on workshop on how to be an effective Pre-GED tutor, instructor, or class assistant for the Library system's Pre-GED program. The training will cover various topics, such as: 2014 new GED Exams, literacy facts, classroom management techniques, learner motivation and goal setting, specific Pre-GED curricula, and multiple print and online resources. Join local author Dr. Joe Ponds as he discusses his book "The 600 M.O.L. Black Helicopter Pilots in Vietnam" and then join him for a meet and greet book signing. "... as we landed and started to taxi the aircraft to the side of the runway, we noticed that the soldiers were armed with AK47s (Russian-made rifles used by the Viet Cong) and not M16s (American-issued rifles), realizing that we were completely surrounded by the enemy.
