COHS: Career Online High School

cohs-assessmentWould you like to earn an accredited high school diploma and career certificate online?

The Citrus County Library System offers Career Online High School (COHS) which provides adults the opportunity to earn an accredited high school diploma and a career certificate online.

The library’s program provides a limited number of scholarships to qualified students who are looking to advance their careers, and prepare for workforce entry or continue their education.

Applicants who successfully complete the online self–assessment, the prerequisite course, and an in-person interview will be considered for enrollment.

To be considered for a scholarship:
•You must be 19 years of age or older
•You must have a library card in good standing

Once enrolled, Career Online High School assigns each student an online academic coach who provides the student with an individual career path, offers ongoing guidance, evaluates performance, and connects the student with resources needed to master the courses. A student can complete the program in as little as five months, but is allowed up to 18 months to complete the course if needed. Students are expected to spend 8 to 10 hours per week on COHS.
