Meet the Author: John Charles Miller

johnmillerMeet  John Charles Miller, the author of "Citrus White Gold" for discussion and book signing.

Friday, Jan. 25,

2:00--4:00pm

Floral City Branch

John Charles Miller, the author of Citrus White Gold, is a groundwater geologist and writer of speculative fiction and other strange little stories. Residing in Tampa, Florida, he has been a part-time resident of Citrus County, Florida since 1981 near Hernando.

He worked as a groundwater geologist for almost 40 years, in both the US and Latin America. He was one of the earliest Peace Corps Volunteers, serving under President John F. Kennedy from 1962 to 1964 in the Dominican Republic. He is fluent in Spanish. For the lover of Florida history, native plants, wildlife and its land, Citrus White Gold is an intriguing walk into the 1890s. The book is not just about Citrus County, but reflects the life of early Florida settlers.

In January 2012, he published a collection of 24 short stories, You Can’t Pick Up Raindrops.
