Inverness Walks! Where History Comes Alive!

Back by popular demand! Beginning Friday, December 19, 2014museum

Brought to you by the Citrus County Historical Society, take an escorted walking tour of about 1-1/2 hours of the historical highlights of Inverness. See the new theater coming forth and learn all about historic preservation, as well. This walk includes moderate walking levels. Hear stories about the fascinating history of Inverness, while experiencing the small town charm of our area. What better way to start the winter season, while the weather is nice and cool, and to provide a great stress releaser just before the holidays, as well. Tour begins at shortly after 10:15 a.m. starting from the Old Courthouse Heritage Museum in downtown Inverness to begin the walk. Reservations only are required. Cost is $5 per person, and $2 per child under 16. All proceeds go directly to the Citrus County Historical Society. Tours will be held once per month on the third Friday of each month through April 2015, and may be increased in frequency each month depending on interest. Group size is a maximum of eight persons per tour, and no more than one child under sixteen per adult, making for a maximum of four children under sixteen per tour. To reserve your place on this first ever tour, please call (352) 341-6428.

For more information on happenings at the Old Courthouse Heritage Museum, please visit Citrus County Courthouse web site. The Clock ‘n Tower Museum Store is now open and in expanded space.
