Friends of the Homosassa Public Library Annual Meeting

Mark your calendar for the 2015 Friends of the Homosassa Public Library annual meeting, Friday, January 23rd from 1-3PM.

Hear Nigel Rudolph, the Public Archeology Coordinator of the Florida Public Archeology Network, Central Regional Center in Crystal River. Mr. Rudolph will lead us through the culture and lives of the ancient Native American peoples who left us the magnificent burial and temple mounds of the Crystal River Archeological Site. 

This meeting is free of charge and we welcome all residents of our community regardless of age. Light refreshments will be served.

Adult Literacy Citizenship Tutoring Workshop

This is a one day, 4 hour workshop designed to give tutors the skills needed to teach citizenship classes or tutor people interested in becoming citizens.All materials are provided. topics covered will be the citizenship class curriculum, possible visual aids, web resources and library resources. Space is limited. Patrons can register online or by calling Literacy Services at (352)628-5626.

essaywriting-banner1Pre-GED Essay Writing - In this instructor led class, learners will review how to write an essay and work on increasing their reading comprehension. The topics covered will include: sentences, paragraphs, subject- verb agreement, and verb tenses.
