INTERLIBRARY LOAN

All Interlibrary loans are now provided through the WorldCat service.

This service allows for materials that are not in the Citrus County Library System collection to be borrowed from other libraries. Generally requests cannot be filled for items published in the previous six months.

Tips for Successful Interlibrary Loan

• To request an interlibrary loan, you must have a valid library card.
• Be sure to search the CCLS Online Catalog first.
• Requests are limited to five at a time. (includes requested, checked out, and in process)
• Requests may be made only for items not held in the CCLS Collection.
• Requests cannot be made for items published in the last six months, on any best seller list, playaways, kits, software, or games.
• If fees are charged by the lending library, the patron will be required to pay.
• Depending on the availability of materials, requests may take up to four weeks to process.
• If the item is unavailable a notice will be sent to the address or email on file.

While login and search capabilities are currently available from anywhere, at this time requests for items may only be placed from within a library branch. 

Note: The Citrus County Library System will process a Genealogy request if an exact title is known. Please be aware that this type of material is often classified as reference. If photocopies are provided by the lender, there may be a charge.
