parks-dragonboatA Dragon Boat Race and Festival honoring our vets and wounded warriors, is coming to Citrus County. Organized by the Citrus County Parks and Recreation Department and the Citrus County Chamber of Commerce don’t miss this full day of fun and entertainment.

There will be music, arts and crafts, a kid’s fun area, food and drinks and a great day of racing. All it takes is 21 team members, 8 of which are woman, minimum age is 14 years old. Get your department to put a team together consisting of county employees and their families. Additionally, there are teams waiting to get involved who need additional participants. So, if you are an individual who is interesting in participating but cannot recruit a full team, let us know and we will secure you a spot
This fun new event will be held at the Hernando Park and lake site on Saturday, November 16th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Boats, paddles, life vests and all necessary equipment will be provided. Just bring your team. Cost is only $25 per person for a full day of fun and activities, supporting the “Wounded Warrior Project”.
