How to Place an InterLibrary Loan Request with Florida Library Navigator

Go to the Citrus County Library’s website Hover on RESEARCH. Click on Databases. Click on Florida Library Navigator! Type the title of the item in to Search: in the Search Florida Navigator Libraries and beyond box.


  1. Click on the title to see more information about the item.
  2. If Citrus County Library System does not own the item, click on Request Item. That brings up the Choose Your Library screen.
  3. Click on Citrus County Library System.
  4. Click the “Keep me logged in…” box, also.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. Enter your library card number and PIN, then, click on Login.*.
  7. On the “Request this item” screen, choose your Pickup Location from the drop down menu and enter your email address, if available.
  8. Click on Continue to submit your request.
    If your request is successfully received, you will see a “Request Submitted” notice on your screen.
  9. Upon completing your request(s), click on Sign Out.

You will receive notification when the item you requested is available for pickup. If Navigator fails to find an available copy, you will be notified if you entered your email address.

*Accounts with lost cards, fines or too many Florida Library Navigator requests**may see this screen below:


**Please allow as least 2 weeks for the Lending Library to remove your returned book from their records.

  • Do you unexpectedly have to go out of town?
  • Too many books too little time?

You now have the option of putting your ‘HOLD on HOLD’ or suspending your holds without losing your place in the queue.

To Suspend:
Access your My Account online with your Library card and PIN number.
Review My Account
Outstanding Holds
Under: Activate or Suspend Selected Holds

Select the items you wish to Suspend by placing a check mark (mouse click) in the box beside the item or if you wish to Suspend all of your items select check the box beside All.

Suspension start date: Use the calendar gadget to pick a date to begin your suspension. Do not leave the date default to Never.
Suspension end date: Use the calendar gadget to pick a date to end your suspension. Do not leave the date default to Never.

When the Suspension end date arrives your Hold request re-enters the queue automatically in the same position where it was Suspended. There are no additional steps required.

To Activate or Un-suspend items before the Suspension end date arrives:
Access your My Account online with your Library card and PIN number.
Review My Account
Outstanding Holds
Under: Activate or Suspend Selected Holds
Select the items you wish to Activate by placing a check mark (mouse click) in the box beside the item or if you wish to Activate all of your items select check the box beside All.
Select Activate Selected.

When you Activate your Hold your request re-enters the queue in the same position where it was Suspended.
