lego-blocksBuilding with blocks helps children develop math, science, and literacy skills.  But for children, they know it as a great way to have fun! Join us at the library every first and third Wednesday of each month from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. for a youth block building program. Come and create something wonderful with Legos.

Adult Literacy Citizenship Tutoring Workshop

This is a one day, 4 hour workshop designed to give tutors the skills needed to teach citizenship classes or tutor people interested in becoming citizens.All materials are provided. topics covered will be the citizenship class curriculum, possible visual aids, web resources and library resources. Space is limited. Patrons can register online or by calling Literacy Services at (352)628-5626.

LEGO Time

Each week a new theme will be selected and creations will be displayed after each program. Join us at the Coastal Region Library every Tuesday from 4:00 to 5:00 PM for LEGO Time. Everyday English

Adult Learners can come and practice their English communication skills through tutor-guided conversation, pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary. Volunteer tutors will lead this “English as a Second Language” group class using fun questions on a variety of topics. Learners can get more information by calling Literacy Services at(352)628-5626.
