Adult Literacy Services: New Tutor Training

Join us for a free Tutor Training Workshop to become a new volunteer adult literacy tutor. Learn proven methods to teach reading, writing, and English speaking skills to adult learners. Specific topics include: How Adults Learn, Understanding Learning Styles, Word Recognition Strategies, Reading Comprehension, Writing Strategies, Teaching English Conversational Skills, and Creating Lesson Plans.

Feel free to bring your own lunch, since a refrigerator and microwave will be available. Or, you may purchase your lunch at a local restaurant. Light refreshments of coffee and cookies will be served. contact Adult Literacy Services at (352) 628-5626.
