The Citrus County Library System is partnering with the Tampa Office of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to offer two information workshops on the Naturalization process. This session is an overview of the requirements for Naturalization and includes information about how to file an application for Naturalization. It will also include a "mock" interview which gives participants an idea of what an actual Naturalization interview looks like. In addition, a short video entitled "A Promise of Freedom will be shown and a Question and Answer session will be held.

Tweens and Teens can join miss Debbie for a fun-filled class creating handmade birthday cards. Learn special card making techniques, such as: rubber stamping, die cutting, punching, and embellishing. Attendees will create two separate greeting cards to take home. Materials are provided by the Friends of the Coastal Region Library.

The presentation will cover a wide range of scams to include phone scams, imposter scams, credit card scams, phishing scams with a focus on what is current in our county. The wide variety of scams discussed will cover such things as the IRS scam, the grandparent scam, the electric bill scam, the credit card transition scam, and many others. In addition, time permitting, other topics such as things to look for when dealing with contractors.
