Homosassa River Garden Club's Spring Workshop

ho-garden-clubJoin the staff of the Homosassa Library in welcoming Homosassa River Garden Club instructors Eileen Parisi and Nancy Smith for its first annual Spring Workshop. With a few old and cheap supplies and the expert help of Ms. Parisi and Smith you will create a beautiful Spring flower design to show off to all your friends. You bring yourself and enthusiasm as well as a large towel, trash bag, your favorite scissors or clippers, a few lengths of colored ribbons and any small pieces you want to include in your design. Homosassa River Garden club will bring its expertise, the flowers, greenery and containers for you to use and take with you.

Adult Literacy Education Program: Assessment Workshop

harvest-bookAre you interested in getting involved in the library's Adult Literacy Education Program? If so, then join us for this workshop on how to assess a learner you may have. This is a one day (4.0 hour) workshop that will teach tutors how to complete literacy assessments on adult learners by providing a baseline of where to start the teaching process, how to set goals for the learner, and help them to know when new goals need to be created. Space is limited. Registration is required.
