NaNoWriMo Kickoff

Picture of NaNo logoNaNoWriMo is an annual creative writing project that takes place during the month of November. NaNoWriMo challenges writers to complete a 50,000 word goal by the end of the month. This kick off event will give you an opportunity to meet some of your fellow writers and provide you with some resources to call upon when writer's block sets in.

Star Wars Reads Day

Celebrate reading and all things Star Wars! Come participate in Star Wars themed activities for all ages. Make your own lightsaber, cube craft, Yoda ears, buttons, enter our costume contest, and more! Enjoy Star Wars themed snacks! Get your picture taken with characters from the Star Wars Universe, special appearance by the 501st Legion. Sponsored by the Friends of the Coastal Region Library.

Friends of the Citrus County Library System Fall Book Sale!

foccls-logoLooking for some great book bargains? Then look no further than the Friends of the Citrus County Library System Fall Book Sale! The book sale kicks off Friday, October 7 and runs until Tuesday, October 11 at the Citrus County Auditorium located on Hwy 41 in Inverness. You will be treated to an array of books, DVDs, CDs, games, and puzzles.

Sale Hours:
October 7, Friday, 5--8pm (Preview night, $5 donation for entry, 12 and under FREE)
October 8, Saturday, 10am--4pm
October 9, Sunday, 10--4pm (half-price day)
October 10, Monday, 10am--4pm ($3 a bag day)
October 11, Tuesday, 10am--3pm ($3 a box day)

This is your chance to find some fantastic bargains in recycled reading--from thousands of fiction titles, cookbooks, history, audiobooks, CDs, DVDs, and more, there's something for everyone at this huge event. Don't miss out!

All of the proceeds from the sale benefit the Citrus County Library System. We’ll see you at the sale!
