Adult Learners can come and practice their English communication skills through tutor-guided conversation, pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary. Volunteer tutors will lead this “English as a Second Language” group class using fun questions on a variety of topics. Learners can get more information by calling Literacy Services at(352)628-5626.


 

Citizenship Classes

This seven-week series of Citizenship Classes will teach adult learners the basic knowledge needed to pass the U.S. Naturalization Exam. Topics covered include: American history, the three branches of government, courts and the legal system, and famous Americans. The classes will also focus on speaking, reading, and writing skills. Learners will receive sample test questions and have interview practice. Space is limited. Learners can register by calling Literacy Services at(352)628-5626.
